Integration and Efficiency in Arm Balancing
Sunday, September 25, 2016
Time: 14:00 - 17:00 pm
triyoga, Camden
In this three-hour workshop we will explore the ways in which arm balancing can be experienced as an integrative and efficient distribution of force, energy and pranic flow through the body. Drawing on universal alignment principles and anatomy, the process of balancing on our hands will be approached in innovative ways that may surprise and delight new or experienced yoga practitioners.
Students will learn how to integrate different bandhas (sacred seals or locks) in ways that are less about doing than about the importance of the invitation itself. The exploration of yielding, pushing and reaching will also be contextualised within the framework of breath, intention and effortless effort. 18 months of previous yoga practice suggested.
Cost: £35
