DAOIST FLOW -- Somatically-based yoga and fluid qigong practices taught through the framework of mindfulness

This gentle 90 minute class will explore mindfulness and somatic movement practices through the framework of qigong and yoga āsana. It is advised to take part each week, as the classes will build progressively. If you miss a week, you will have 7 days to review the recordings. Each week, the movement practices will be repeated so that you will become more fluent in the movements as well as be given a platform from which to deepen the practices and themes.
Themes we will be covering include the Buddha's teachings on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, and how these can be embodied and deepened. We will spend approximate three weeks on each foundation, building progressively through the Autumn months.
Using yoga and qigong sequences, we will explore these foundations through five primary somatic principles and movement patterns.
