Retreats offer the space to rejuvenate, slow down, step back from daily life, and engage more in the process of attuning to oneself and one's overall wellbeing. I offer retreats each year, and each retreat I teach I am reminded of how the opportunity to step back can create profound insight and transform. Just imagine how you might feel at the end of a good yoga class and expand that into one, 3 or 7 days. That is what a retreat can be like – a space where greater clarity and an a steadier heart are cultivated and brought into an everyday consciousness.
Summer and the Heart: A Yoga, Qigong and Meditation Retreat

Join Sifu Matthew Cohen and Mimi Kuo-Deemer for a weeklong yoga, qigong and meditation retreat at Centro Santillán, a stunning retreat centre nestled in the open hills of southern Spain. Days will include morning and afternoon yoga/qigong sessions, meditation, and three delicious meals. There will also be plenty of downtime for relaxing, walking the hills, swimming in a salt-water pool, therapies and having a siesta. Throughout the week, Matthew and Mimi will explore the season of summer and the qualities of the heart, which in Chinese medicine is the supreme sovereign of the body. Matthew and Mimi will offer teachings that reflect aspects of the heart’s function as well as its related season of summer and the element of fire. Through deep, lighthearted, playful and inspiring practices, we will consider how the richness of ancient teachings can be incorporated into our contemporary daily lives.

Join Louise Grime and Mimi Kuo-Deemer for a weeklong yoga and meditation retreat at La Locanda Quercia Calente, a beautifully renovated farmhouse in the Umbrian hills of Italy. Each day will include two yoga classes, qigong, meditation, three delicious meals, and lots of downtime for lounging, chatting, reading, napping, strolling, swimming, eating gelato, etc. Mimi and Louise will be co-teaching, blending their love of yoga (hatha, vinyasa, restorative and Iyengar!) into soothing sessions that can take you as deep as you want to go.

Set in the tranquil countryside of Oxfordshire, this residential immersion retreat is just 45 minutes by train from London's Marylebone station. This part II of the Vinyasa Immersion is intended to deepen one's capacity to practice and teach vinyasa flow in authentic, creative and insightful ways.
