Shuanghu Village,
Sichuan. 72 year-old Yang Xianglin stands outside his home where he has
put up a poster of former Chairman Mao Zedong, whom he believes brought
about a great revolution for the Chinese peasants. Yang Xianglin is the
father of Yang Heqing, a migrant worker who has left with his wife to
seek work in the cities; Xianglin has stayed home to care for his granddaughter,
Yang Shan, in his son and daugther-in-law's absence. |
